CAD – Frame Designer

Essential Functions
The Frame Designer will review drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. • Collaborates with design originators, Product Development and Manufacturing Team to identify solutions between original drawings and final CAD designs. • Make design recommendations for product solutions, value engineering, custom designs, appropriate product application, etc., to enhance the opportunity to earn new business. • Drawing development using AutoCAD • Strive for new and improved ways to deliver design solutions that keep us moving forward. • Ensure all project documentation/archiving is completed once projects are complete. • Quality assurance – ensure minimal errors and omissions on design deliverables.
Minimum Requirements
YOU WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE TEAM IF YOU HAVE... Frame building experience, along with... Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role • At least 3-5 years’ experience with AutoCAD software • Familiarity with 3D modeling software • Good math skills • Ability to meet deadlines • Must be detail-oriented • Artistic and design skills a plus • Experience designing frames and patterns for upholstered furniture preferred • Strong graphic design capabilities and design eye • Strong attention to detail • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment
