Cutting Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Machine Operators utilize technology to cut fabric to customer orders and Design Foundry specifications. This position will operate the machine on our second shift, Monday – Thursday, 1:00 p.m. – 11:45 p.m. Essential Functions • Inspects & verifies part meets quality specifications from work order. • Load fabric on to Morgan cutting machine table to be cut according to specifications of work order. • Off loads cut fabric from Morgan cutting machine and groups according to work order • Bundle fabric work orders, load on sewing racks • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment • Read prints and process sheets • Assist with the training of new employees, and follow all company policies and procedures • Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a team-based environment that heavily emphasizes quality, performance, cross-training, and accountability • Consistently satisfy or exceed productivity requirements

Essential Functions

Minimum Requirements

Read, learn and follow training, adhere precisely to written procedures • Problem solving skills • Must be able to follow detailed instruction, inspection procedures and product appearance • Work quickly on your own or in a team • Must also be able to enter data into a computer screen • Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time • Preferred Experience with AutoCAD • Gerber and Lectra Cutting Machine experience preferred • High School Diploma or G.E.D

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. To perform this role successfully requires the ability to stand consistently for an 8-hour shift. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Perform physical activity that requires considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. The ability to squeeze and hold scissors. The ability to lift objects weighing 15 – 50 lbs.
